Scuba Diving in Oman is a pleasure - Warm Tropical seas and a remarkable variety of fish and Reef Corals. The waters in Oman are nutrient rich, creating rich feeding grounds. Water clarity varies considerably - with the clearest months being May and June.
Divers may sight Basking Sharks, Turtles, Reef Coral species unique to Oman and a host of fish. All dives require proof of certification (BSAC / PADI) and dive permit payment of Rial Omani 2/- per day.
Courses are subject to availability of Instructor and dives dependent on weather conditions.
At all times the right is reserved to alter or curtail the itinerary at the decision of the supervisor.

Diving areas
Bandar Khayran; Located twenty minutes to the south east of Muscat by boat. The area is a small system of coves and creeks; Corals line the bays and near is a wreck. Fahl Island; Fahl or "Shark" Island offers some of the best Diving around the Muscat Capital area. Strong currents mean caution is required when diving here. Two wrecks are located at the North East corner of the Island and a Tunnel known as the Blue-tube runs through the centre. Dives of up to 40 meters are possible for experienced divers. Cat Island; A popular snorkelling site and night dive spot, with depths from two metres, to sixteen. Ras Abu Daud; For novice and advanced divers. A small group of Islands with steep walls on the East and shallow Reefs on the western side. A wreck dive of a freighter in sixteen metres of water, probably Oman’s most popular wreck, could be included. Daymaniyat Islands Marine Park; A chain of Islands to the west of Muscat. A nature reserve (several days admission notice required) offering Reefs from five metres to thirty meters with interest in the water and air above. Any Sea Trips itinerary is controlled by sea conditions and the experience of the Diving group. At all times the right is reserved to alter or curtail the itinerary at the decision of the supervisor. Attempts will be made to give all divers’ areas to suit their skills on each outing; Guarantees cannot be given for visits to specific areas. |
