Hotels in Oman include acclaimed 5-star
properties and comfortable In-Town properties – here are
some of our preferred hotels - perhaps they have great
facilities, style we like or allow us to offer you an
experience to remember of course we include our
own private Desert Camp. Not all serve Alcohol - if you must
have Alcohol available please specify that when contacting
us so we can exclude the hotels which do not offer it.
We visit these hotels on a regular basis; away from Muscat
we have stayed in each hotel. While bedrooms are important
in a hotel the facilities and staff can also be critical to
the enjoyment of a stay, our regular visits allow us to make
informed suggestions.

Naturally, as we live in Oman we have eaten
in all these hotels and an extraordinary range of
restaurants away from the hotels. Our blog does include many
of the places we have eaten in – for location in Muscat few
can match Japengo which is also good for people watching
at night. Away from Muscat, the Al Rashidi is one we
have been asked by regular guests to make a 200km journey so
that they may enjoy its Rice Biryani in surroundings that,
like many of our favourite ‘local’ restaurants, were
ordinary in the extreme.

Al Bustan Palace is the doyenne of luxury
hotels in Muscat. Set on its own private beach and extensive
formal and natural grounds the setting is magnificent. We
have known many of the staff for 23 years and they provide
continuity despite the recent change of management to the
Ritz-Carlton group. This is a hotel with facilities which
can deal with 6 heads of state in residence at one time, and
it is an experience to enjoy even if only for a night.

The Chedi has built up a unique position in
Muscat’s hotels. Its architecture is simple and uncluttered
its ideal for couples who wish to ‘chill out’ we believe the
new spa will add to its appeal. Like the hotel The
Restaurant is award winning and is spoken of as the best in
Muscat.

Our

meeting you at Muscat Airport and
booking your Muscat Hotel to returning you again to the
airport we can organise your complete holiday in Oman. |

Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort is three
hotels, which offer the greatest range of facilities of the
hotels in Oman including 19 places to enjoy meals and
drinks, we like Bait Al Bahar seafood restaurant is ideal
venue to enjoy the sunset on the beach and overlooking the
resort Sultanah offers stylish a la carte dining. We like to
suggest this resort for a few days after a
tour of northern Oman
with us
Al Waha Hotel which can
offer supervised child facilities allows parents to have
time to relax while Al Husn Hotel restricts the use of many
of its facilities to people 16 years and older which allows
those with no children to also relax. Connecting the two
hotels is the third, Al Bandar Hotel, which offers a range
of services that make it very popular for business and
conferences.

Set in a mixed residential and commercial area Muscat’s City
Seasons Hotel is a spacious hotel. Its ideal for a couple of
nights in Muscat especially if visiting to leave on
a tour
of Oman shortly after arrival. This recently opened hotel is
fortunate to have staff have joined this hotel from
prestigious organisations such as Al Bustan Palace and the
Jumerah group.

In Oman’s Land of Frankincense in the far
south of Oman the
hotels are not as distinctive but include a couple which
offer a fine beach front experience.

The Marriott with probably the largest pool in Oman is located
in an isolated location with a beach of soft white sand and
interesting rock pools. The Arabian Sea here has an unusual
mixture of tropical Corals and, after the summer Khareef
cold water, Kelp which creates unusual Scuba Diving
conditions. When we stayed, we found the far left of the
beach the best for swimming from. This hotel is ideal for
simply relaxing in for a few days or longer after a
tour of Oman with Arabesque.

The Hilton is convenient for the town of Salalah. The location
close to the new Free Trade Zone & Port makes it popular for
business visitors; however its service and style make it
comfortable for a short stay during a
tour of southern Oman
and Salalah with us. The
beach, though not private, stretches far beyond the hotel
and is soft sand and occasional creeks with Mangrove.

Ideal for a single night in the desert or to enable a
tour in Oman to
travel through remote locations our own mobile camps offer
you the pleasure of an isolated location. They are private
to you and your travelling companions. We offer a variety of
styles which we hope will allow any of our guests to enjoy
the Oman few people experience.

The Golden Tulip in Nizwa is a spacious hotel established
around a series of courtyards. With comfortable bedrooms,
its original guests were Omani government ministers. Its
dinners held around the swimming pool make it a welcome end
to a day touring the
Nizwa region.

High in the northern mountains the Sahab hotels location
offers a genuinely cool atmosphere making it a good base for
our tours in Oman at any time of year. The owner lives in a small
village a few moments away. The rooms are spread in an arc
with views over the agricultural terraces of villages that
grow fruit, grain and roses.

Within the Turtle watching reserve this
small hotel at Ras al Jinz is ideal if you wish to watch
both evening and
pre-dawn Turtle visits. The rooms are simply furnished
with private showers. The dining room timings are organised
to slot in with the timings for turtle visits.

With a small beach in an inlet which almost as far east as
its possible to get in Oman the Turtle Beach Resort
comprises simple rooms. With shared bathrooms the atmosphere
is informal and relaxed, ideal for a
family tour of Oman
if they, though
interested in watching Turtles lay eggs, are principally
interested in a
general and relaxing visit to Oman.
